Working with Blyth Valley Borough Council, Hammerson has sought to consult with specific groups across the community, including:
- Residents living close to the site
- Resident groups from across Blyth Valley
- Young people
- Tenants
- Councillors
- Civic groups, disability groups and other interested parties
Meeting in May and June, the groups were asked to comment on early plans and the principles behind the scheme - and outline their aspirations for Cramlington in the future. The groups were also asked to comment on four specific areas:
- Transport, access and parking
- Environment
- Community facilities
- Retail and Leisure
The outcomes and conclusions of all the groups have informed the latest stages of the designs for the town centre.
