Working for Camlington
Working with Blyth Valley Borough Council, Hammerson has sought to consult with specific groups across the community, including:
  • Residents living close to the site
  • Resident groups from across Blyth Valley
  • Young people
  • Tenants
  • Councillors
  • Civic groups, disability groups and other interested parties
Hammerson has consulted with a wide variety of groups, including the Community High School...... tenants of Manor Walks and Westmorland...... and other community groups.
Meeting in May and June, the groups were asked to comment on early plans and the principles behind the scheme - and outline their aspirations for Cramlington in the future. The groups were also asked to comment on four specific areas:
  • Transport, access and parking
  • Environment
  • Community facilities
  • Retail and Leisure
The outcomes and conclusions of all the groups have informed the latest stages of the designs for the town centre.
